🚂 Urabstimmung zum Semesterticket - Gebt eure Stimme ab! 🚂
Liebe Studierende,
am kommenden Montag, den 13. Mai 2024, startet eine Urabstimmung zur Zukunft des Semestertickets. Wir rufen euch auf, eure Meinung zu einem möglichen Wechsel auf das Deutschlandsemesterticket abzugeben.
Was steht zur Wahl?
🚂 Der Verbleib im aktuellen Semesterticket, das euch kostenfreie Fahrt im Regionalverkehr in Niedersachsen (Landesweites Semesterticket) und im Nahverkehr in der Region Braunschweig (VRB-Semesterkarte) ermöglicht. Das Semesterticket wird im Wintersemester 2024/2025 173,03 Euro kosten. Näheres zur Preispolitik findet ihr auf unserer Website.
🚊 Der Wechsel auf das Deutschlandsemesterticket. Mit diesem hättet ihr die Möglichkeit, deutschlandweit den Regional- und Nahverkehr zu nutzen. Das D-Semesterticket kostet 60 Prozent des Deutschlandtickets, also aktuell 29,4 Euro pro Monat und 176,40 Euro pro Semester. Der Preis ist an die Preisentwicklung des Deutschlandtickets gebunden. Es ist nicht auszuschließen, dass das Deutschlandsemesterticket teurer wird, falls der Preis für das Deutschlandticket steigt.
Beide Tickets sind Solidartickets und werden allen Studierenden der TU Braunschweig zur Verfügung gestellt, die alle den gleichen Preis zahlen, unabhängig davon, ob und wie häufig das Ticket genutzt wird.
Mit deiner Stimme trägst du dazu bei, eine Entscheidung über die Zukunft unseres Semestertickets zu treffen. Eine hohe Wahlbeteiligung ist wichtig, um Entscheidungen im Sinne der Studierendenschaft zu treffen. Bitte teile die Info auch mit deinen Kommiliton:innen, damit möglichst viele Studierende abstimmen!
Basierend auf dem Ergebnis der Urabstimmung wird im Studierendenparlament über das weitere Vorgehen entschieden.

Ballot on the semester ticket - cast your vote!
Dear students,
next Monday, May 13, 2024, a ballot on the future of the semester ticket will start. We are calling on you to give your opinion on a possible switch to the Germany semester ticket.
What is on the ballot?
🚂 Staying with the current semester ticket, which allows you to travel free of charge on regional transport in Lower Saxony (state-wide semester ticket) and on local transport in the Braunschweig region (VRB semester ticket). The semester ticket will cost 173.03 euros in the winter semester 2024/2025. You can find out more about the pricing policy on our website.
🚊 The switch to the Deutschlandsemesterticket. This would allow you to use regional and local public transport throughout Germany. The D-Semesterticket costs 60 percent of the Deutschlandticket, i.e. currently 29.4 euros per month and 176.40 euros per semester. The price is linked to the price development of the Deutschlandticket. It is possible that the Deutschlandsemesterticket will become more expensive if the price of the Deutschlandticket rises.
Both tickets are solidarity tickets and are available to all TU Braunschweig students. All Students pay the same price, regardless of whether and how often the ticket is used.
With your vote, you are helping to make a decision about the future of our semester-ticket. A high voter turnout is important in order to make decisions in the interests of the student body. Please also share the information with your fellow students so that as many students as possible vote!
Based on the result of the ballot, the student parliament will decide on the next steps.
